LifewithArt is delighted to be up and running again in Peterborough. Our new building, Stuart House, provides a lovely location to continue our charitable activities with our favourite Peterborough groups! Children from local Home Education groups are enjoying art and drama workshops in the building whilst clients from the local MS Society prefer to stick to their visual art projects. As always, our amazing photographic exhibitions are on display in the building and members of the public are encouraged to pop in and view them free of charge.

Clients from the Peterborough and District MS Society have been working on acrylic or watercolour paintings, attempting to recreate the essence of a favourite photo or picture brought from home. Each week the group use different techniques to build on their paintings. Hazel has used wet-on-wet blending, applying fresh paint over the top of a layer of still wet paint, to create smoother gradients on her sunset and the impasto technique, applying a thick layer of paint to the canvas, to create more texture in her sea. Sophie has tried her hand at wet-on-dry layering, building up layers of colour and detail, in her Greenland scene. Whilst Alison has enjoyed sgraffitto, scratching  into wet paint with a pallet knife, to create additional texture in her river painting. Fiona has used similar techniques in her watercolour painting using a combination of paint for the main blocks of colour and watercolour pencils to add detail. I think we can all agree that the results are stunning! We are also pleased to welcome a new member, Coralie, to the group who is making excellent progress with her sunflowers.
