Dear LifeWithArt Team,

We would like to extend our sincere thanks for your generous support of Abandoned Artists CIC’s Anniversary Celebration and our Nature and Artists in the Spotlight exhibition, presented as part of Scottish Refugee Festival 2026.

Your support for both the exhibition installation and the event catering helped us create a welcoming and inspiring space where artists, supporters, partners and members of the community could come together to celebrate creativity, resilience and the achievements of displaced Ukrainian artists.

Our anniversary celebration at North Edinburgh Arts Centre brought together around 40 guests for an evening of art, conversation and reflection. Alongside the celebration, Nature and Artists in the Spotlight showcased a body of work created through twelve months of weekly Creative Spark Time sessions, developed in partnership with LifeWithArt. Led by artists Alena Rogozhkina, Nadiia Huta and Maria McCavana, the project invited displaced and refugee artists to work with foraged and repurposed natural materials, exploring the relationship between creativity, nature and belonging. Rather than treating nature as a backdrop, the exhibition celebrated it as an active collaborator, creating a space where both artists and natural materials could be seen, valued and appreciated in new ways.

On behalf of our artists and volunteers, we are deeply grateful to the entire LifeWithArt team for making this possible. Your support went far beyond practical assistance. It helped make our anniversary celebration and exhibition a welcoming and memorable event where our community could come together to celebrate, share creative journeys and connect through art. Thank you for believing in our mission and for standing alongside us.
