LifewithArt is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new Charity Arts Centre in Kentish Town, North-West London. The centre opened at the end of September and in just 2 short months we have made significant connections within the local community. LifewithArt administrator, Ria Hickman, has made contact with 24 groups ranging from mental health support groups, learning disability services and social groups where people enjoy getting together to reduce their sense of isolation. LifewithArt’s offer of free art, music and drama workshops is particularly welcome during these difficult financial times.

A group of clients from Camden Carers have been enjoying a variety of art workshops in the building. Camden Carers offers information, advice and support to unpaid adult carers living, working or studying in Camden, or caring for someone who lives in Camden. Camden Carers is also the gateway to a wide range of services provided by other local organisations and agencies working with carers in Camden. Tutors Lisa Muten and Rebekah Cameron have been leading the group in a range of activities including monoprinting, painting, drawing and crafting tissue paper flowers. I can’t wait to see what they do next!

“Wonderful Session. Inspiring and allowing us to be creative. Meeting new people and socialising has been wonderful!” “Nice to meet other people socially. Relaxed and Fun.”

In addition to the workshops, we have photographic exhibitions on display in the building. The LifewithArt exhibition, produced by people with disabilities, showcases the incredible artwork produced by members of the public who have attended our workshops around the country. Alongside the LifewithArt exhibition we are showing photographic displays highlighting the work and goals of our associated charities including; Riding for the Disabled Association and Myaware. These exhibitions are open to the public free of charge, three times a week. Check out the opening times HERE.
