My name is Imogen and I am a second-year trainee Art Psychotherapist. My time at LwA was a privilege to be a part of. Assisting in the running of the workshops in Bristol meant I could see first-hand the many benefits that creating artwork together can have and why it is so important that these creative sessions are accessible for all. As a trainee Art Psychotherapist, it was a great experience to see art being used as a primary mode of expression and communication.

For me, it instilled hope that the importance of art-based activities within the community are valued and understood and I feel LwA are championing this. I have loved meeting lots of new people and creating artwork using a range of materials to create all sorts! From trees made out of buttons to cityscapes and elephants made from recycled milk cartons, there really is something for everyone. This has inspired and reminded me to continue my own creativity throughout my study and work! I am very grateful for this opportunity!
