Allan Barnfather joined LifewithArt in Spring 2017 as a tutor and gallery manager for the North East. He has a BA (Hons) Fine Art degree and a certificate in Understanding Autism. He has many years’ experience working in the arts and has exhibited his work around the UK and abroad.

Allan would describe himself as an interdisciplinary artist specialising in print making. He is a member of Northern Print where he exhibits and demonstrates printmaking techniques. Allan’s recent demonstration was in Gyotaku (Japanese fish printing); something for a future LifewithArt workshop perhaps?  Allan has recently signed up for a print exchange touring exhibition where he had to produce a 25 print edition that will tour to China, Japan, Iceland, India, Russia, Ireland and UK.

“Working for Lifewithart as an art tutor is an extremely fulfilling and rewarding experience. As an artist, I am consistently amazed by the participants’ achievements and proud to be part of their creative journey”
