Congratulations to Alisha Dickson, winner of the Individual Painting Class in the Edinburgh Border RDA Regional Arts and Crafts Competition. Alisha has been riding with Ravelrig Riding for the Disabled, Blaerno, Edinburgh for 5 years. Along with other Ravelrig riders Alisha took part in a LifewithArt workshop in Livingston Charity Arts Centre in May. All the paintings produced at the workshop were entered but Alisha fought off stiff competition from other RDA Groups to win with her painting ‘Under a Storm’. The painting impressed the judges with its excellent use of colour, especially the rain cloud, and very good proportions of the horses. ‘Under a Storm’ then went on to be placed 4th in the National RDA Championships Competition in Hartpury in July. Well done Alisha!
