The everchanging Springtime British weather has been the inspiration behind the theme of recent workshops in Monarch Court, Emersons Green.
LifewithArt tutor Myra has shared how workshops with Bingham Day Services have included an array of mediums, including watercolour rainbows, decorated umbrellas, painted birds and bird boxes. The sensory creative experience of papier-mâché was met with lots of smiles and happy sounds and the joy of the group experiencing the bright colours, movement of brushes and hands on application, with the participants’ growing sense of pride, was a joy to see.
Yate Buddies also delighted in the spring weather themed workshops, with the impressively creative rainy images of individuals within the group and decorated umbrellas being a great hit! Members of Yate Buddies shared an enthusiastic response to the workshops including:
“It’s good to do different creative things in a nice environment” – Harriet
“It’s fun” – Abi
“LifewithArt has given me the chance to try different things” – Lisanne
Whirly rainbows, 3D raindrops, sensory clouds, stunning sunshines, and of course the decorative umbrellas covered with stickers, pom poms, paints, tissue paper and even raindrops made these workshops wonderfully creative and the display board was so eye catching that carers from Bingham wanted to take items back to decorate their base!
